Bob Vass Qualifies to Run as Clerk of Court

Filed under: Election, Dimocrats — Paul @ 11:54

This morning at 11:15 former Sheriff Bob Vass completed the paperwork to become a member of the Hall County Republican Party AND to qualify as a candidate for Clerk of Court.  The party welcomes Bob Vass to our number, and I’m sure that a law-and-order former Sheriff will feel at home with us.  I still have not seen Dwight Wood, so the clerk’s race is now JC Smith and Bob Vass.  Good luck.

UPDATE:  On 7-8-08 the Executive Committee made a finding that the voters should consider Charles Baker and Jennifer Gibbs the only Republican candidates for Clerk of Court.  As the reporters know (but you may not), the Party is not allowed to reject anyone’s qualification check to run for office.  Bob Vass remains on the ballot as a Republican candidate for Clerk of Court.

Chris Patton’s “People” Pick up Qualifying Forms

Today at 10:35 AM a representative from Chris Patton picked up the forms for him to qualify to run for re-election as County Surveyor.  Chris is not (yet) a member of the Hall County Republican Party.  I hope he will remedy that situation before he qualifies.
